Dr. Marlene Sotelo, EdD, BCBA-D, MT-BC

Executive Director, Els for Autism®

Dr. Marlene Sotelo brings over 30 years of experience working with individuals of all ages with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities. As Executive Director of the Els for Autism Foundation, she leads the organization’s global initiatives, overseeing programs, development, and operations at The Els Center of Excellence®. Her leadership has elevated the foundation into a world-renowned institution for autism services, education, and research.

Dr. Sotelo holds a Doctorate in Education from Nova Southeastern University and is certified as a special education teacher, music therapist, and behavior analyst. She has authored numerous research publications, presented internationally, and supports the foundation’s global affiliates in Canada, South Africa, and the UK. She also serves on the board of The Learning Academy and is active in local organizations including the Non-Profit Chamber of Palm Beach and the Palm Beach County NeuroArts Collaborative. Dr. Sotelo was recognized in the 2023 edition of Marquis Who’s Who for her contributions to the field.
